Here’s another small update from Meltwater Engineering Sweden. We are co-hosting an Elastic(search) meetup in Gothenburg together with our friends at Findwise on April 9, 2015!
When Findwise reached out we were eager to collaborate since this is something we have wanted to do for a long time. Please have a look at the meetup page, sign up, and spread the word. It’s going to be fun and interesting.

- There will be food and you have the opportunity to discuss your technical challenges with experts.
18:00 Introduction to search technology
- Findwise consultants will give a short introduction to search technology and what makes Elasticsearch unique. Also a brief report from Elasticon.
18:10 Elastic at Meltwater
- Our very own developers, Anton Hägerstrand and Per Berglund, will talk about large scale percolation with ES. This is one of the important parts which powers Meltwater’s world leading media analysis and monitoring product providing Outside Insight.
18:40 ELK at SCA Hygiene Products
- Magnus Nordin, IT Business Partner at SCA, explains why and how they use ELK (Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana) for monitoring and analyzis of search logs. There will also be a demonstration of their setup.
