On 17th of February, Meltwater’s Stockholm NLP Meetup hosted a session about clinical text retrieval, presented by Professor Hercules Dalianis from Stockholm University.
In this talk, Professor Dalianis described different challenges to analyse clinical texts to facilitate doctors in Swedish healthcare entities for better diagnosis and treatment. It was quite fascinating to see the application of different NLP technologies like named entity recognition, noun chunker and topic modeling in medical text analysis.
