Having a second person review a blog post before it is published adds significant overhead to the process, takes some time, and makes the process seem a bit bureaucratic. So why are we doing this, you may ask.
Our review process helps to confirm the following:
- Does the post match the intended audience, both in terms of subject and language?
- Is it in agreement with the publishing policy (what we publish versus what we don’t)?
- Is it in accordance with the style guide (similar tone of writing)?
- Does it comply with our editing guidelines?
We gave documented this and more in our Editorial Process. Note: All links above are pointing to sections of the same.
